The Community

There is a growing body of practitioners who work at the intersection of science and spirit, body and psyche, timeless wisdom and contemporary understanding. Fields of Alchemy was built with you in mind.

Here we tend to approach our work integrally — drawing from traditions and modalities that explore consciousness, understand the body as intelligent, and make room for the numinous alongside the evidence-based. Therapy, counseling, movement, naturopathy, energy work, bodywork, creative practice, writing, and spiritual support — the forms vary, but the underlying orientation is shared. Here we hold the whole person or group, integrally, creatively, with care and intention.

What emerges when people who share a golden thread and also share space and good company is something hopeful. Practitioners who are doing serious, beautiful work in proximity can inspire, resource, and build community together.

Offerings with this spirit deserve an aligned environment, and with that intention, Fields of Alchemy unfolded.

FIelds of Alchemy - North Pacific Building Portland Oregon

Fields of Alchemy is located caddy-corner to Powell's Books, at the geographic and cultural heart of Portland. The North Pacific Building has graced the corner of SW Oak and 10th since 1922. Generous windows with wavy historic glass, original hardwood floors, the graceful proportions of Italian Renaissance architecture — restored in 2017 with the kind of care that considered everything, down to the building's own footprint on the earth. It's quieter inside, and the light moves through it in a particular way. The building includes secured entry, an elevator, locked bike storage, a shared kitchenette, free WiFi, and ADA-compliant single-stall, non-gendered bathrooms. We really love it here.

Getting here is easy. Street parking is metered and generally available. Free validated parking is a short 2.5 blocks away, and long-term lots — hourly, daily, or monthly — are plentiful in every direction. The neighborhood rewards arriving a little early: Courier Coffee is steps away, its sister spot Soen serves beautiful Japanese bites, and Maurice — a true Portland gem — is right there for a proper brunch or lunch.

Here, you don't have to choose between having your own professional space and being part of a community. You get both—a private office or studio that feels genuinely yours, and a circle of fellow practitioners who understand the particular texture of this work. No long leases required—just a space that fits your practice for growth, and a community for inspiration and support.
